Exploring History: A Journal of Indian and Asian History is an international partially open- accessed and peer reviewed Journal. Formerly included in the UGC list of approved journals, the journal is assigned the ISSN no 2230-8490. Published annually since 2008 the journal promotes historical research on India and other Asian countries. Although the journal accepts submissions on general historical issues, it promotes research on regional history. The journal is included under ONOS database.
Submission Guidelines:
Please follow the Chicago Manual (latest) for works-cited and in-text citations.
Review Process:
The submitted article would go through a double blind-review process before it would be included for publication. The author has to rework his/ her article based on the review report. The whole process would take at least six months. The authors are requested to keep this timeline in mind.
Publishing Timeline:
The double blind-review process usually takes six months. The author would be given two more months to rework his/ her article before the proof is send to him/ her. The journal issues are published annually.
Article Processing Charges (APC):
We do not charge any publication processing fees. However, we ask the authors to subscribe to our journal for a period of three years. We will send all the issues with two back issues to the authors. The annual subscription fee is Rs 1500/-
Indexing:
We are working towards indexing the journal in a global indexing database.
Research Ethics:
The submitted article has to pass through plagiarism checker. No AI generated content will be accepted. If any portion of the article is found to be generated by AI, the article would be rejected immediately. The author has to submit a certificate with the article mentioning that the article is original, and not sent for publication anywhere else. The journal would not accept any conflict of interest of the author regarding the submitted article.
